The revolutionary development of the Real Flame ‘Power Flue System’ in 2004 empowered the business to overcome many architectural challenges, and has allowed open-fronted fires to be installed into ground floors of two- storey homes, high-rise apartments, and many commercial projects.

This innovative development allows open- fronted fires to be flued in horizontal or vertical configurations of up to 13.5m with four bends. Longer flue runs can be achieved and are subject to approval by the Real Flame technical department.

The Caldor BF16 zero clearance wood fire by Real Flame is a stunning glass fronted wood fire with an amazing heating capacity for those large open living spaces. The Caldor is an exceptional wood insert fire that can heat large open areas or be ducted into one or two extra rooms. With an enormous combustion chamber that can take logs up to 760mm long, this fire will heat huge areas with ease.

Fully built as standard with a full zero clearance casing, the Caldor can then be built into a masonry or timber frame to allow absolute freedom of design. The Caldor has a large glass viewing area via the easy glide guillotine door that has an incredible 1036mm wide x 315mm high viewing area and also has an easy glide safety screen for when young or elderly people are in the room.

The unit has optional trims for a masonry or timber frame and includes combustion air intakes on both sides of the unit.
