In this Wahroonga home, Bespoke Joinery by Nobby (a division of Nobby Kitchens) has delivered a kitchen transformation that beautifully bridges timeless design and contemporary sophistication.
The original kitchen, once dated and enclosed, lacked the fluidity and connection that defined the rest of the residence. A fragmented layout with limited flow meant the space no longer supported the family’s lifestyle or their vision for a cohesive, modern home.
The homeowners’ brief called for a timeless yet modern Shaker-style kitchen that felt both enduring and fresh. They wanted it to integrate seamlessly with the nearby butler’s pantry, laundry and alfresco areas. Functionality, flow, and refined detailing were paramount for success.
In response, Bespoke Joinery by Nobby crafted a serene and harmonious series of spaces, unified through consistent textures, soft tonal palettes, and meticulously integrated appliances.
The hidden pivot door is a defining feature of the renovation. It discreetly links the kitchen to the laundry and butler’s pantry while preserving visual purity of the Shaker facade. The use of Blum REVEGO pocket doors allow the bar and appliance zones to vanish when not in use, ensuring the kitchen remains calm, uncluttered, and impeccably organised at all times.
Every element of this project was tailored with purpose, from layering materials for depth and warmth to incorporating lighting and joinery solutions that enhance daily usability. It’s easy to see why there’s such effortless flow from the kitchen through to the media and bar areas, each space speaking quietly and confidently to the next.
This renovation stands as a testament to the power of bespoke craftsmanship. What was once a tired old space is now sophisticated, functional, and beautifully resolved for modern family living.
