A Federation home welcomes the addition of classic sleek cabinetry

“The focus for this design was for it to reflect the Federation style of the home and make the most of a very tight space. Although the cabinets are finished in a dark colour, they don’t close in the space as they are balanced by the gloss white tiles and benchtop that has a pearly fleck through it, which sparkles in the light. The decorative film on the window also allows a lot of light in. Due to the limited space, the pantry, fridge and freezer are housed just outside the archway to the kitchen. Integrating the appliances was key to making them look like pieces of furniture that still tie in with the kitchen, rather than the kitchen just ‘spilling over’ — and they are still close enough to be practical. Integrating the microwave under the bench also allows for a good flow of benchtop space.”
