Cares and stresses melt away at this coastal holiday house with an infinity-edge pool and spa that offer enviable bushland and water views
This dramatic infinity-edge pool and spa at this coastal holiday house were built on a very steep block to take advantage of the beautiful views over Brisbane Water National Park on the New South Wales Central Coast and the surrounding bushland.
The homeowners requested a low-maintenance pool they can use all year that makes the most of the vista and bush setting. “This is the owners’ holiday house and they do a lot of entertaining when they are at the house,” says Zeb Rodrigues, owner of Artesian Pools, who built this stunning pool and spa combination.
The 11.7m-long Bisazza-tiled pool can be accessed from the house level and has a large adjacent entertaining area inside the pool enclosure. The spa, meanwhile, is slightly raised. Frameless glass pool fencing was used so that it does not detract from the spectacular views.
A ledge features at the deep end of the pool so that swimmers can easily look over the edge and admire the perfect water view. Artesian Pools created a cantilevered design with infinity edges on two sides. The water runs through the river pebbles in the dry gutters and down to a retention tank under the pool, and the water is then pumped back to the pool.
