Embracing the home’s century-old heritage, the English farmhouse and cottage-style theme permeates throughout. The butler’s pantry boasts elegant features such as glass-fronted display cabinets, a fluted front apron sink, Tasmanian oak accents and an integrated dishwasher and bar fridge. In the main kitchen, the farmer’s doors joinery continues, adding that traditional workmanship to complement the history of the original home.

In the Gap, a modern family bathroom with a practical space plan for all needs was created. The shower is an easy walk in for all users and the bath is practical for the kids to be bathed in, but just as good for a luxurious soak. The vanity, visible from the bathroom entry, has a lovely timber grain and warm tones, welcoming you into the space.

The bathroom’s colour scheme chosen is timeless, with a warm grey floor and white walls. The ensuite design concept utilised the space of the hallway linen cupboard, which provided extra depth for the shower to be enlarged to a two-person capacity.

The design of the curved shower wall hides the toilet from view without compromising on style. The design includes two sinks, a large drawer space for each, plus inbuilt shaving cabinet mirrors to provide extra storage. The curve of the shower wall is also replicated in the curve of the opposite wall to the shower, softening the existing 45-degree angle of the wall. The introduction of the curves added wow factor, dimension and versatility.

Born in 1968, Vola has produced its products out of Horsens, Denmark. With traditional Scandinavian craftsmanship and the most modern engineering technology, they ensure the highest standard and quality of finishes for a product that is made to last. Most products are made from solid brass and gunmetal, with valve housings made using dezincification-resistant brass, all lead-free and with the promise of longevity.

Vola came to Australia in the 1980s and was well-received by the designer and architect community with its revolutionary design. The brand has a limited and selective distribution within Australia, and in 2023, e&s was lucky to be a part of that. Vola and e&s have a lot in common, both specialising in the best quality of care and standards in their operation.

Vola has been around for just as long as e&s has, for almost 60 years, and every step of their production is meticulous and held to the highest regard. From only creating products they need for sustainability to hand brushing and testing each tap before it is packed.

Drawing inspiration from the client’s affinity for green and yellow, Jo opted for a captivating patterned floor tile, artfully incorporating these vibrant hues. The walls up to the picture rail showcase two complementary subway tiles, adding a touch of timeless elegance to this exquisite bathroom design. A striking feature green tile graces the back of the shower, infusing the space with personality.

To inject a playful charm, a bold vinyl wallpaper adorns the right-hand entry wall, igniting a sense of wonder the moment you step in. The corner back-to-wall bath effortlessly blends style with comfort, thoughtfully addressing the challenge posed by the angled high
ceilings and tongue-and-groove walls.

The brushed gold tapware and accessories exude sophistication, perfectly complementing the two-pack vanity unit with Smartstone Davinci Blanco vanity top. A wall-hung custom vanity with a teardrop Clearstone basin, circular mirrored shaving cabinet and antique brass wall sconces provide the ideal finishing touches.

Despite design hurdles like limited bath height and plumbing due to window positioning and the need to remove access to the store room, Jo’s ingenuity resulted in a space that seamlessly marries functionality and beauty. Not to forget the genius touch of creating new access to the general storage area that previously relied solely on bathroom access.

Beyond aesthetics, Interior Design by Jo bathroom design showcases an intuitive understanding of her client’s desires and the art of merging colours, textures and elements. This bathroom epitomises sophistication, modernity and, above all, the seamless blend of character and contemporary allure.

Introducing the ULTRASPACE Bathroom Project by prominent designer Mark Gacesa, a masterpiece showcasing the exquisite beauty and functionality of Austaron’s Staron Solid Surfaces.

One of the standout features of the ULTRASPACE Bathroom Project is the faceted vanity top, a striking centrepiece that captivates the eye with its unique shape and pristine finish. Paired with an integrated custom Staron basin vessel and smart waste system, this vanity embodies elegance and practicality.

The storage platform, adorned with concealed Staron drawers, adds a touch of seamless perfection to the bathroom. Its sleek design seamlessly blends with the overall aesthetic while providing ample space for storing bathroom essentials, keeping the area tidy and organised.

To create a hotel-inspired ambience, Mark incorporated Pietra limestone and white Bisazza mosaic tiles in the lower main bathroom of the Art House. The custom vanity top, crafted from Staron Quasar White, features a mesmerising design with a folding front apron and a rectangular shape waste system reminiscent of origami art.

The double-ended bath, nestled within a Staron Pebble Chocolate platform, further accentuates the bathroom’s elegance. The platform harmonises effortlessly with the Pietra limestone floor and walls, creating a cohesive and visually stunning environment. The bath’s placement creates the illusion of floating above the ground, enhanced by the mirror that wraps around under the vanity and conceals drawers for a sleek and seamless look.

Drawing inspiration from the existing front door’s grand brass handles, the space elegantly embraces rounded shapes throughout. One of the room’s showstoppers is the large round steel window, thoughtfully adopted by both the client and designer. It floods the luxurious bathroom with an abundance of natural light while doubling as an artistic centrepiece.

To maintain a harmonious balance, the toilet and shower zones were separated by floor-to-ceiling fluted glass. Fixtures were carefully selected to exude softness and warmth.

The custom-made vanity unit stands adorned with an alpine white quantum quartz stone top, beautifully complemented by under-mounted Caroma Liano basins. The Casa fluted bathtub invites indulgent relaxation, while the custom fluted glass shower screen with brass hardware resonates elegance.

Functionality blends seamlessly with style as a custom-made mirror featuring LED backlighting graces the walls over the vanity. The space showcases plastered rendered walls and large-format terrazzo grey-tiled floors, reflecting the immaculate, minimal design aesthetic.

In this luxurious bathroom oasis, the designer has skilfully crafted an oasis of tranquillity and sophistication, where every element exudes refinement and modernity.

The double-walled bathtub has been inspired by Japanese porcelain and is comprised of 100 percent recyclable and sustainable steel enamel. This precise design is possible due to the highest level of German engineering.

A Yeomans bathroom renovation transformation, the team was tasked with updating this previously cramped and dark bathroom to create a bright and functional space that felt more luxurious. Aesthetically, the homeowners wanted to bring in natural light and add a colourful feature wall with larger components. Functionally, they requested that the layout be improved, along with a more seamless entrance than the conventional door.

A skylight and sliding door were added to allow in natural light and make the bathroom entry more welcoming. LED downlights throughout provide a soft and gentle illuminating glow, bouncing off the bright white walls. Warm earthy tones bring character to the space, with a beautiful pink-tiled feature wall reflecting in the unique blush pink basin. Tiger bronze tapware and shower heads amplify the sense of warmth and add a bold contrast against the cool white tones.

The large freestanding bath provides that all-important luxurious feel, while the walk-in shower behind the glass panel lets the room breathe and keeps the space feeling open. The result is a bathroom that has an abundance of natural light, is open and refreshing while offering a welcoming yet decadent feel.
