When the homeowners decided the time had come to upgrade their ‘80s-era bathroom, they contacted Designline Kitchens & Bathrooms. They requested the renovation of both the main bathroom and the ensuite, in a uniform style. A modern vanity and freestanding bath were essential, and functionality was crucial.

During the renovation, the ensuite bathroom was enlarged to incorporate a bigger walk-in shower, and the shower wall niche was designed to accommodate the family’s showering needs. The vanity top was extended to incorporate the concealed toilet cistern in both bathrooms. All mixer fittings, pop-up valves in the basin and bath and floor wastes were finished in matt black. White ceiling fittings, including heat lamps, exhaust fans and downlights, were installed to blend into the ceiling for added functionality.

With their beautiful bathroom spaces completed, it’s easy to see why the homeowners are so thrilled with their new additions.

French Charm https://www.completehome.com.au/kitchens/french-charm.html Wed, 30 Oct 2019 04:52:43 +0000 https://www.completehome.com.au/?p=53644 With lots of storage, high functionality and striking features, this is a space that will leave you thinking ooh, la la!

The French Provincial style of this kitchen not only complements the rest of the Kyle Bay home, but also looks incredible on its own. With lots of storage, high functionality and striking features, this is a space that will leave you thinking ooh, la la!

Shaker-style cabinetry with feature handles help set the tone. Glass cabinets allow for items to be displayed and changed according to mood and season so the room always feels fresh. The large breakfast bar not only has ample space for meal prep and two sinks for drinks and washing, but also under-bench seating, transforming this area into a meals and social hub. Extra storage can be found under this bench and bookending either side of the island.
But it’s the feature tiles in the splashback and butler’s pantry that we’re really drawn to. The neutral colour palette lets the detail truly sing and provides a highlight that doesn’t overpower the room.

We love those feature pendant lights that make the space feel modern while still celebrating the room’s French provincial theme.

Expert tip ensure the style of  your kitchen matches the style of your home.

The sophisticated splendour of this bathroom https://www.completehome.com.au/bathrooms/sophisticated-splendour-bathroom.html Mon, 16 Jul 2018 00:26:04 +0000 https://www.completehome.com.au/?p=45707 The homeowners wanted traditional and modern elements to culminate harmoniously, a theme that is continued throughout the rest of the home.

“A fresh start was in order for this previously tired and dated bathroom. Maximising functionality alongside a smooth blend of comfort and sophisticated splendour were the key factors in the redesign.

The homeowners wanted traditional and modern elements to culminate harmoniously, a theme that is continued throughout the rest of the home. The house is Federation style and it was important for the bathroom to align with the roots and the modern interpretation of a French provincial meets Hamptons design. Offset by chic bathroom items, the choice in detailed and plain semi-gloss tiles was crucial in creating this enchanting ambience. The soaker bath and chandelier immediately draw the eye upon entering the space, oozing an old-world opulence. The large French provincial mirror complements the sash window and creates a more spacious feel to the room. The homeowners are delighted by the peaceful and relaxing vibes this bathroom now exudes and are excited to enjoy the space for many years to come.”

EXPERT TIP: A modern interpretation of a classic style can create a glamorous feel to a space.

We love the large-format semi-polished wall tiles.

“Some features stand out in a kitchen, and this island is one of them. In a modern kitchen with clean lines and open space, the bench is a highlight thanks to its impressive size and, of course, the striking custom-made powder-coated steel leg supporting the far end.

Surrounding this eye-catching bench is a light, bright and modern kitchen. Storage space is more than ample, with the handle-less cupboards providing a streamlined look. A striking two-tone colour selection provides interest and variety, with the golden hues in the flooring adding warmth. The rose gold lighting and tap fixture are two smaller details that equal a greater whole. They add an extra element of sophistication to this room’s contemporary look and help make it a kitchen to remember.”

We love the island bench — a great size for meal prep or time spent sitting around as a family.

EXPERT TIP: Add some lift-up wall cabinets to ensure you have room for all your kitchen supplies.
