The design team selected a range of organic surfaces for the kitchen – including the simple yet stunning tapware from GT&B.

The kitchen’s Pegasi Curve Pull Out Sink Mixer in Raw Copper, which was supplied by GT&B, as well as the raw copper shelving detail around the rangehood, add a unique element of interest while accentuating the room’s organic feel. Not only do these clever additions command attention, the copper will also age naturally over time, evolving with the kitchen and the lively homeowners.

The homeowners were after a main bathroom that offers an unexpected moment of visual surprise for family and friends who drop by for catch-ups, yet is still able to operate as a functional, calming family bathroom. Tasked with this challenge, the design team opted for a predominantly industrial, monochromatic interior colour scheme to create a sense of cohesion with the home’s interior and exterior.

They then added a bold touch with a combination of deep-green wall tiles and green terrazzo floor tiles from GT&B. These act as a reference point to the leafy green central courtyard, while also creating striking visual interest. Wrapping the mottled green feature tile around most of the main bathroom walls was explored as a way to create an impactful space to escape to, tucked away from the rest of the house.

A black vanity and coloured fixtures were chosen to create contrast, and a skylight was added to ensure plenty of natural light during the day. This eye-catching bathroom is a space designed specifically for adults, perfect for this grown-up family and their guests. Both functional as well as aesthetically appealing, it’s a smart, considered design.

Used as the thoroughfare between multiple rooms and the outdoor area, and being the true heart of the home, the kitchen needed to be a showstopper as well as endlessly functional. The design team took this to heart and produced the eye-catching design you see here.

The open kitchen and butler’s pantry are light and classic, with modern elements such as treated stone and the painted rangehood sprinkled throughout. The use of the large stone slabs for the splashback and the benchtop featuring the gorgeous curve add drama, while paying homage to the chic kitchens found throughout Paris.

The kitchen’s timber elements and striking Brodware tapware in weathered brass are noteworthy. Sourced from GT&B, these additions go a long way to improving the room’s stylishness. The bar area was a special consideration that is perfect for entertaining yet can be closed off whenever the homeowners choose.

The main kitchen’s fridge and dishwasher are integrated to align with the room’s French feel. The nearby butler’s pantry provides extra space for food preparation and features an extra dishwasher and fridge. The end result is a breathtaking modern take on Classic French design, with a sprinkling of “je ne sais quoi” that the homeowners adore.

Mediterranean meets Coastal with Geelong Tiles & Bathware, the new kitchen is a far cry from the original space. The floor plan has been reworked, with the old dining room now part of a larger, more open kitchen space conducive to cooking large meals, entertaining guests, and spending quality time with the family around the kitchen’s curved semi-circle island bench.

The homeowner made a conscious choice to lean into the dwelling’s coastal Mediterranean feel when renovating the kitchen. After all, the home is just a 200m walk from the beach – the very definition of a seaside abode.

To bring this vision to life, the homeowner visited GT&B to choose the perfect tiles for the kitchen and beyond. There’s no denying the Moroccan gloss tiles that were ultimately chosen for the kitchen’s splashback and rangehood achieve the organic, relaxed, airy ambience the homeowner desired.
