Southeast Queensland has a subtropical climate, with hot summers, mild winters and very little fluctuation in temperature compared to many places in Australia. One of the great things about a subtropical climate is that, with a generally steady year-round temperature, the need to artificially heat or cool the home can be reduced with good design.
