The extra wide 265mm cladding has a unique undercut design that accentuates the slat faces of the cladding. The board has a coverage of 240mm with a concealed fix tongue and groove design. Supplied in 5400mm long lengths the cladding is perfect for an 1800mm high privacy fence as 3 x 1800mm planks can be cut from one long length with no waste.

The castellated cladding has a flat coarse sanded finish on the back of the cladding so that it looks good from either side when used as fencing and the fence system includes a 25mm top cover strip that caps off the top of the fence.

An aluminium fence frame consisting of a 65mm square post and a specially designed 51mm aluminium fencing rail are fixed together using a solid stainless-steel bracket and stainless-steel screws.

The 5400m long fencing rails are designed to be fixed to the posts at 1800mm centres. The standard posts are designed to build an 1800mm high fence using 3 rails fixed up to 900mm apart.

All the components are finished in a satin black powder coat.

The fence system is completed with a knock in Black Nylon cap for the top of the fence posts and the black fixing screws for both the brackets and the cladding.

The design of the fence frame not only suits the castellated cladding, but it can also be used with a range of different sized Futurewood composite timber battens to create several different fence types and looks from full privacy to vertical screening and picket.

Realising it would take some time to complete their planned home renovations, Anna and her husband, owners of this Adelaide property, decided to start the transformation process with a new front fence.

“The first issue we needed to tackle was the massive street frontage. There was no privacy from those walking or driving past, which meant the large space at the front of our house was of no value to our family,” says Anna.

But privacy wasn’t the only issue.
