A state-of-the-art pool, with features everywhere you look, excites the senses
Located in the peaceful bayside suburb of Mount Eliza, this exquisite state of the art pool and outdoor area provides refuge from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The new home was built by Michael Pollock of Privilige Homes and Personal Pools was contracted to build the pool in conjunction with Privilige Homes.
There is truly something unique everywhere you look. The pool sits above the ground, providing opportunities to use acrylic pools and features at ground level in unique ways. Dancing geysers and a splash pad at the front of the pool delight the children. An acrylic window with air bubblers just inside provides another distinctive feature upon entry at the ground level.
Access to the pool is from the living area on the first floor of the home. Laminar jets shoot water and light from the house into the pool. The pool has a three-sided hidden knife edge gutter so it looks full right up to the paving. “The whole pool is fully tiled in the same materials
as the terrace — large-format tiles that are 800mm x 400mm,” says Chris Howley, owner of Personal Pools.
The four-sided negative-edge spa is glass-tiled and raised out of the pool to showcase the gorgeous dark-mosaic tiles — a contrast to the light pool tiles.
This home features a 1500-bottle wine cellar retreat with an acrylic window that lets filtered light into the exclusive space. “We positioned air bubblers just inside the window to produce tiny bubbles. From inside the wine cellar, these small bubbles create a fish tank-like effect,” says Chris.
The state of the art pool is easily controlled with a Hayward OMNI automation system that’s fully operational with a Wi-Fi and chemical control system.
