Don’t let the clean lines and simple colours fool you — this minimal kitchen has everything you could want

Innovative design and building materials have allowed this truly action-packed yet minimal kitchen design to drop the baggage of ostentation and carry only taste. Built for functionality first, a long island bench is topped with a sturdy slab of Dekton in Domoos, fitted with a wooden dining table and handy wine fridge and filled with deep drawers.

The table fits to a feature concrete-look beam, while the drinks fridge faces the outdoors for easy entertaining access. All drawers push open and softly close with Blum LEGRABOX tip-on tech and are coated in a traceless black finish to match the sleek, far-reaching cabinetry, which, along with stacks of storage space, hides away appliances and a phone charging station. A walnut shadowline feature from Polytec warmly separates the bench from the cabinets and coolly frames the kitchen, speaking to the solid jarrah floorboards and speckling of timber features. A study nook desk, shelves and drawers seamlessly adjoin, while a toughened-glass splashback looks back on a living room entertainment unit built with black steel and dark wood to match the kitchen’s aesthetic.
