The owner’s brief was to open up the space and create a combined kitchen and living area. Easy access to all the cabinets was essential as was the creation of open, light-filled areas. With several challenging design considerations such as existing walls and plumbing to overcome, the end result is a masterfully crafted and well-thought-out kitchen. The design is beautifully coordinated with all doors and wall cabinets similar in size and the drawer lines flowing continuously throughout. Topped with stunning polished chrome handles, all cabinets include drawers or inner drawers to make storage access easy and manageable. Both the splashback and benchtop feature Quantum Quartz in Cloudy Bay, the matching finishes creating a beautifully balanced harmony in a neutral colour palette. The contrasting colour of the island makes for a spectacular central space, perfect for the family to get together in the newly created open layout. The light and airy space is complemented by the earthy oak hardwood flooring, adding a homely feel to the design.”
