When Sigourney Cantelo (@sigourneycantelo) asked for “soft and calm, like Santorini,” Blue Haven Pools answered with curves.
The original space was clean but boxed-in-straight lines, sharp corners, little flow. One chalk-line sweep across the paving changed everything: the backyard shifted to softer, calmer, and truly livable.
At the heart sits a silky mineral pool-gentle on skin, easy on the eyes. Blue Haven added a sun ledge wide enough for slow coffees, kids’ play, or sunset drinks, and carved an arched lounge into the far wall to frame every view. In the afternoon light, the arch throws dappled shadows that ripple across white walls, delivering a holiday feel to an ordinary day. Spa jets hum quietly in the background, tuned for wellness and recovery.
The finishes are deliberately quiet. White-on-white surfaces bounce Sydney’s bright light without glare, while pale stone keeps bare feet cool. Inside the pool, soft mosaic curves give the water its luminous shimmer. It all feels calm, yet every detail works hard-drainage, lighting, and mineral systems have been designed for low-maintenance ease and everyday enjoyment.
This look-Mediterranean-inspired curves, natural textures, crisp whites-is fast becoming one of Sydney’s most requested styles, and it’s easy to see why. Curves guide the eye, make compact spaces feel generous, and create natural flow around furniture, daybeds, and dining zones. Most of all, they invite people to slow down and stay.
The first swim said it best: coffee on the ledge, feet in the water, shadows drifting across the wall—a backyard transformed into a boutique escape without leaving home.
