Softly toned sandstone brings out the best in a courtyard lap pool.
This stunning lap pool has been perfectly positioned to maximise the narrow site. It adjoins the undercover outdoor entertaining area to create a poolscape that is both highly attractive and perfect for exercise and fun. It’s easy for the owners to keep an eye on the children because the kitchen, dining and living areas all overlook the pool.
An important aspect of this tidy project was to choose the best materials to provide a stunning visual space, which is also safe and practical. Yarrabee Desert Sand Sandstone was selected for the pool coping and paving as it provides soft variations of colour, exceptional non-slip properties, and the strength and durability of natural stone.
Desert Sand Sandstone is available from Yarrabee in a wide range of tile and bullnose sizes to suit almost every application, and is particularly popular as a pool coping and surround due to its ability to withstand salt. To create a colour contrast against the sandstone and the rendered walls, Yarrabee Black Limestone was used to clad the feature wall, housing the sheer-descent waterfall and two trickle water features. The stone was supplied in a variety of geometric shapes, sizes and thicknesses to add texture and interest as the water flows across the wall’s surface.
Yarrabee carries a large range of products suitable for pool coping in many sizes, colours and textures; all with matching paving products to complete the job.
