The homeowners visited the Jag showroom and fell in love with a display kitchen that had all the characteristics of a kitchen of yesteryear, including turned posts, large hand-carved corbels and heritage skirtings. They wanted this look for their home and were willing to expand their kitchen over two rooms to create it. The resulting new kitchen is exactly what the homeowners wanted, combining a relaxed old-world charm with all the practicality of a modern kitchen. The heritage design perfectly matches the rest of the home and there’s even a very authentic-looking fireplace reproduction. The two sinks offer two preparation areas and there’s also more than enough bench space to knock together a hearty meal. Appliances from Smeg and Miele ensure that none of the modern comforts have been forgotten. Every area of the room has been cleverly utilised to create a functional and spacious kitchen, which has proven a fantastic addition to this home.
