Camden Council’s new administration centre will feature Enduroshield’s glass protection
Construction of a new centralised administration centre for Camden Council is currently underway and includes council chambers, accommodation for staff, an open plan customer service centre, multipurpose rooms for meetings and events, a central atrium and public amenities over 6200sqm (66,712sft) of floor space.
Seven tenders for the construction of the building were received with ADCO Constructions chosen as they provided the most competitive tender in terms of best value to Camden Council. EnduroShield is proud to be included in such a significant project.
The $35 million build commenced in May 2015 and is due to reach completion in July 2016. The EnduroShield team has already started application to over 2000sqm (21,520sft) of glass, including facade and skylight panels. EnduroShield was specified to protect the glass and make cleaning and maintenance easier.
Camden Council Mayor Lara Symkowiak said she was excited to see the construction of the building. “This is the biggest capital works project that Council has ever undertaken,” she said.
EnduroShield applicators applied the EnduroShield Protective Treatment onto a glass skylight, which in itself was over 100sqm (1076sft).
