This award-winning bathroom design called for the finest finishes to match the cutting-edge architect-designed home

A cliff forms the stunning backdrop to the ensuite of this parents’ retreat so the finishes chosen had to complement, rather than compete with, the work of nature. The design flexibility and solid, smooth, seamless finish of Corian made it the perfect choice for the floor and wall panels in the shower and toilet cubicles. Corian Glacier White is striking in its simplicity and the enhanced translucency of the colour helps reflect lighting.

As Corian can be thermoformed to create various 2D and 3D designs, Minosa custom designed the scooped double washbasin and vanity top entirely out of this material. It appears to float as it intersects with the structural piers covered in mirror. Together with the large free-standing bath, it adds an organic shape and sculptural element to the modern and very streamlined design of the entire space.

Besides being renowned for its beauty, Corian is famous for its non-porous and hygienic properties which make it an easy-to-clean solution for any bathroom application. Corian is also renewable, so it can be fully restored to its original condition on-site should any accidental damage occur.
