Our love for IKEA has increased exponentially thanks to YPPERLIG, the new homewares range they just released in collaboration with Hay, a Danish design company founded in 2002 by husband and wife duo Mette and Rolf Hay.
Each piece created by HAY and IKEA is a celebration of basics; where products are clever yet understated, all with a timeless quality that ages beautifully. The YPPERLIG range includes smaller decorative pieces such as candle holders, cushions covers and pots, as well as larger furniture items like sofas, dining tables and chairs. Here are a few of the items we will most definitely be getting our hands on:
The collection even includes a makeover of the iconic IKEA FRAKTA bag—while it’s size and materials remained the same, Mette worked with the colours and weaving patterns to create a fresh new look. Check out how good they looked on the runway during YPPERLIG’s launch event!
