“Presented with a blank canvas, the owners requested a kitchen that reflected who they are and what they love. For a young family of four, this meant creating a bright hub of family life.
The result is expressed through this ‘living room kitchen’ — an integrated living solution combining kitchen, casual dining, entertainment and study space. This modern layout blurs the lines between indoors and out with an effortless flow. Unity was an important element when it came to successfully integrating this multi-purpose space.
Clean lines and simple, minimalist shapes bring order to the busy room and create a space that is functional and durable. Samsung Staron® Solid Surfaces was selected for the benchtops due to its clean finish, no open joins, non-porous nature and easy maintenance.
The benchtop features an integrated Staron® sink and continues from the kitchen to the alfresco benchtop, linking both spaces into one open area. To create visual interest on the kitchen’s island bench, we used Staron® to clad a box section at one end, which incorporates an open shelf and light box. This kitchen delivers a timeless and enduring appeal.”
