High Performance Solutions for Strength, Durability & Comfort

When Sue & Jim approached Ben Callery Architects to design a sustainable, off-grid retreat in country Victoria, the architects specified Rylock Windows & Doors to meet the project’s requirements for strength, durability and comfort.

Situated on top of a ridgeline with spectacular views can also leave you exposed to extreme weather conditions, Rylock’s window system delivered strength and durability to enable maximum glass sizes to bring the outside in, whilst also providing comfort to the owners in the cooler months.

Rylock’s Senior Sales Consultant Angela Cowell worked with Ben Callery Architects to identify N3 wind rating, BAL29 bushfire attack level and thermal efficiency gains to be the main factors with this project. Ben Callery of Ben Callery Architects explains, “Windows are the most important part of any house, but they can also be the weak point. That’s where you lose your heat in winter and gain in summer, in this case, these windows were really perfect because they’re thermally very sound (double glazing) and their openings on both sides (pivoting corners) enable us to open right up to get cross-flow ventilation.”
