This morning I attended the launch of a new toaster from Magimix. Named the “Vision” toaster, it is so called because of its revolutionary clear side panels that allow the user to view their toast as it cooks.

The toaster has been 15 years in the making with Magimix launching the new product approximately 18 months ago in France. Joining us at the launch this morning was Francois Picquerey, International Export Director for Magimix, who told us that the reason for the long time in development and production was because of Magimix’s commitment to a quality product with the goal being to create consistency every time the toaster was used.

In addition to looking fabulous, the toaster has been designed to allow toasting of a wide variety of breads including bagels, crumpets, muffins, baguettes, Turkish breads and Indian breads. Our breakfast this morning was hosted by Gourmet Safaris’ Maeve O’Meara and took place at the stunning Shangri La Hotel in Sydney’s Rocks district, with its gorgeous views overlooking the Harbour Bridge and Opera House.

Visit http://www.magimix.com/ or speak to distributors Cambur on (03) 8787 4200. The Magimix Vision toaster will be available exclusively through David Jones in August and September and available in a wider range of outlets later in the year. The toaster retails for $499.
