This duplex design with a difference, built in Mona Vale for a growing family and the owner’s mother, shows what can be achieved when individual approaches are taken
Built to accommodate a growing family, this duplex project in Mona Vale was carefully tailored to meet each stakeholder’s unique requirements. The original home had been with the family for many years, so there was understandable sentiment in letting it go. However, this allowed for the new design to flourish, and once complexities such as flood and bushfire controls were overcome, two new meaningful homes could be created.
The two homes have been designed so that, from street view, it does not appear that a duplex sits on the block. Both homes are spacious, well appointed and have a great family feel to them.
