Luxurious bathroom renovation

A dated bathroom transformed into something fresh and luxurious

“The original, dated bathroom was crying out for attention and a splash of much-needed luxury. My brief was for a spacious, relaxing and luxurious environment of grand style — a bathroom that enhances the luxury of my apartment and the property’s value. It was to be based on a neutral palette with a twist, including a marble feature wall to enhance the earthy tones as well as colour added through accessories.

There was a need to make clever use of lighting in a windowless room. The lighting chosen suits a range of uses — we incorporated a spectacular feature chandelier light over the bath and concealed lights to set a variety of moods. We also created a warm and comforting environment with underfloor heating and heated towel rails.

The design was to be clean, with uncluttered lines and space, for a feeling of luxury and harmony. The tactile basin design enhances the bathroom’s organic character, while the walk-in shower with blade nozzle is a central feature of the design. Wall nooks next to the freestanding bath were also created as useful display features. The bathroom now meets several needs — it’s both a luxurious retreat and a practical guest and day-to-day bathroom.Every detail is in harmony, just as I requested.”
