When you think of technology in the kitchen, chances are you envisage the fastest-heating self-cleaning ovens, seamless stovetops, or perhaps simply a refrigerator with ice and cold water on tap.

Yet technology in the kitchen can be so much more than that, as this room from Kitchen Shop QLD proves. Here, the demands of a modern lifestyle have been met by combining technology, functionality and style, resulting in a space that is simply made for enjoyment.

In this room, several cupboard doors employ Blum SERVO-DRIVE electric lift-up capabilities, allowing for easy access. LED lighting to the drawers and pantry ensure visibility and there-fore workability in this space is a breeze.

ZETR flush power points were another addition to the room that create a streamlined feel, along with handle-less doors and drawers that offer a sense of continuity.

One of the highlights of the space is an UNWYRE wireless phone charger that truly makes life easy. Simply place your device on the surface and let it recharge without the unsightly cords and plugs that add mess and clutter to your kitchen space.

Of course, the modern features don’t end with technology. This kitchen enjoys a contemporary aesthetic achieved by tall black cabinetry complemented by glossy white cabinetry on the opposing side of the space. A quartzite benchtop with refined veining adds a sense of luxury to the room, and the space is warmed thanks to the use of feature timber in the stools.

Timber is also present in the frames of the bay windows, which open out to the entertaining area and allow for the exchange of food and conversation with those in the space beyond. This was a critical design point for the owners, for whom entertaining is second nature.
