The previous kitchen, landlocked in the centre of the house, was far too dark and small for the homeowners. They were recommended to speak to Nobby Kitchens, so they got in touch for a much-needed reimagination of their culinary space.
The owners wanted a larger, more functional kitchen, so there was no choice but to move it to the living area. The old space was then converted into a library, complete with custom cabinets and shelving flanking the dining area. There were no existing services in the kitchen’s new location, so plumbing and electrical connections were installed promptly. Then the team got cracking to bring their kitchen vision to life.
The new space is an all-white delight. Its hero feature is a 3m island, complete with plenty of storage and room for family and friends to gather around while dinner is being prepared. There’s floor-to-ceiling cabinetry and extra bench space against two walls, ensuring the homeowners have plenty of storage and prep room.
The colour palette is sophisticated and likely to stay in vogue for years to come. Shaker doors and panels, as well as the Caesarstone Adamina benchtops, create interest while complementing the all-white design. The area also boasts a well-equipped butler’s pantry, complete with extra storage, plentiful bench space and a second sink – perfect for messy culinary projects and dinner preparation for guests.
A true entertainer’s kitchen, this space is a study in creative problem solving and clever design.
