Does your kitchen have overhead cabinet storage that’s critical for you? In smaller kitchens we tend to see quite a lot of overhead cabinets that give you more storage options
However, we all know what happens with the top shelf – things get left there for years without anyone knowing what truly hides there. Top shelves are hard to reach and most of us climb the benchtop to even get a glimpse what’s hiding up the top. (We know you do it!)
So why not look for overhead storage solutions that actually make sense and help you access even those items in the far back of the cupboard?
Our favourite solution would be the very popular iMove. Not just a popular choice in the kitchen, we’ve also seen it installed in laundries and wardrobes. The pull-down shelf comes in two finishes, white or anthracite, and two models, double-shelf or single-shelf. Ideal for the shallower overhead cabinets that are normally 300mm deep.
A great alternative to the iMove is the TurnMotion II. You might have guessed it by the name. Each tray turns individually by 360° in either direction so that the contents on all four sides move into clear view and easy reach. Stops on each of the four sides lock the tray temporarily in position so that items can be lifted in or out safely. TurnMotion II trays are height adjustable so that you can position them at the height you need and are best used where you have a little more depth in the cabinet; like above a bench height oven. Just as the iMove, the TurnMotion II also comes in two different finishes, white or anthracite.
Overhead storage doesn’t have to be difficult to access. With these great solutions, you no longer need to climb the bench to reach the back of the shelf.
