A large island dominates the space, providing seating for four in a matching look to the dining area. The homeowner wanted to have as much bench space as possible, and prompted the choice of the expansive island, pantry, wall oven and appliance area. Designed with storage and easy access in mind, there is space for a wine fridge and plentiful drawers. The appliance area was an important design feature, as it hides the often messy but useful appliances of a kettle, toaster etc, and keeps the space free to prepare the food. The cabinet handles and island chairs imbue a touch of the traditional, incorporating timeless styles into a contemporary space. The Quantum Quartz Michelangelo benchtop aligns with the sleek look of the space, the matching white surface a simple complement to the kitchen. Designed in an enduring style, this room explores cool functionality and a smooth aesthetic.”
