TV Manufacturer and consumer electronics giant TCL has expanded its product offering in Australia to include refrigeration appliances for the first time in its 40-year history – including an industry-first Standards Australia approved refrigerator.

“TCL believes Australian consumers deserve a better choice when creating beautiful, functional kitchens at an affordable price,” says TCL National Marketing Manager Rafael Mayen. “Put simply, our goal is to make premium products more accessible.”

Combining the latest TCL technology with intelligent design, minimalistic lines and high-quality finishes, the launch range includes top mounted fridges (45L, 362L and 221L, bar fridges (95L and 42L) and chest freezers (200L and 145L).

Special product features of TCL’s new Australian refrigeration range include:

  • Intelligent inverter technology maintains perfect food storage conditions by monitoring temperature and adjusting power consumption
  • Improved thermal barrier specifically engineered for Australia’s extreme climate
  • Scuff resistance surface eliminates fingerprints and need for constant cleaning
  • Reversible doors and recessed handles provide installation options for small spaces
  • Holiday mode keeps your freezer running while powering down the fridge

“These are really beautiful products that should appeal to the home renovators and first-time buyers who are both style and budget-conscious,” says Mayen.

TCL’s flagship 454L top mount refrigerator (model p491TMS) leads the way in terms of technology, style, capacity – and industry compliance.

“With 421-litres of usable space, this 4-star model is the first to comply with the new 2021 AS/NZS IEC 62552-3 standard,” explains Mayen. “Not only is this an industry first for Australia but also demonstrates TCL’s commitment to providing a fairer choice for Australian consumers who are conscious about their energy consumption.”

Mayen says this is an exciting first step in a long-term commitment towards delivering quality home appliances to Australian consumers.

“As a leading global consumer electronics brand, TCL has vast experience in both the refrigeration and the broader consumer technology sector, including industry-leading smart fridges, washing machines and dryers,” says Mayen. “We look forward to bringing some of these amazing new products to Australian consumers over the next year.”
