John Doulgeridis started the business from the ground up, building the first display home in 2004. They have now built over 11,000 quality homes and have 63 displays open across Melbourne.
John began the business with one very firm goal in mind: to fill what he says was a void in the marketplace, to build high-quality homes with a level of customer service that was not otherwise offered by volume builders.
The last 18 months have been challenging for the construction industry. John is quick to acknowledge the professionalism of their staff, who continued to exceed their customers’ expectations during these difficult times. He says quality, speed, communication and service are the most important things they focus on for their clients.

John says many of their suppliers and trades have been with them since the beginning, collaborating mutually to develop what John says is “the Carlisle way”, which makes a big difference to what they can deliver for their customers. The new Spectra Showroom was opened in late 2021. John says it’s the best showroom in Melbourne — an amazing space that showcases more products, in formats much larger and more immersive than ever before.
Carlisle Homes has also released two new Hamptons-style, double-storey facades that have been very well received by their customers as the Hamptons trend becomes increasingly popular.
The business is also breaking new ground with its first medium-density project underway — 23 luxury, four-bedroom townhomes will soon be popping up in Ramlegh Springs Estate, Clyde North. John says they will be a game changer in the medium-density space — a true four-bedroom home with two bathrooms, a two-car garage and luxury finishes throughout.
