Nestled in the hills of Mt Eliza, Personal Pools has created a breathtaking outdoor oasis that is both a visual spectacle and a functional space for relaxation and entertaining.

The clients’ vision was clear: to create an outdoor space that allowed them to enjoy the beauty of their surroundings year-round while staying true to the charm of their heritage home. Personal Pools carefully considered these requirements, resulting in a pool that combines modern elements with the timeless elegance of the dwelling. The curved negative edge adds a dramatic touch, perfectly framing the stunning views of Port Phillip Bay. The pool also features a separate spa, offering two distinct spaces for the family to enjoy, whether it be swimming laps in the pool or relaxing in the spa.

The design of the pool, measuring 14m x 7m, was inspired by the natural landscape and the existing architectural features of the property. The custom shape of the pool ensures it fits seamlessly within its environment, while the use of high-quality materials, including limestone coping, glass-tiled pool and the in-floor cleaning system, further enhances the overall design. The pool’s filtration system and Hayward heating ensure comfort and convenience, while the fully automated Wi-Fi control system provides easy management of the pool’s features.

At the heart of the outdoor area is the pool, which is accessible directly from the main house deck, creating a seamless transition between indoor and outdoor living. The clients wanted a space that would serve as the ultimate relaxation and entertainment spot, and with the addition of the separate spa, this pool provides exactly that. The design features two distinct zones, allowing the family to host large gatherings or enjoy quiet moments of solitude, all while taking in the jaw-dropping views.

Founded by Chris Howley, Personal Pools has more than 35 years of experience in designing and building concrete pools and spas. With a strong focus on craftsmanship and customer satisfaction, Personal Pools builds 20 to 30 pools each year and offers both new installations and renovations. As a member of SPASA and MPBAA, Personal Pools is known for creating stunning pools that complement their surroundings and meet their clients’ needs.
