PRIDE OF PLACE – This simple yet stunning pool and spa duo really is the ultimate finishing touch to an exquisite new home build.

For their large sloping block in a rural locality on the outskirts of Toowoomba, Queensland homeowners David and Emma chose the expertise of Rogers Pools to build their formal-style pool and spa. Given the exquisite new home build, named Tjuringa, this couldn’t be just any pool and spa. Fortunately, Rogers Pools rose to the occasion to create the pool and spa of David and Emma’s dreams, while working with the slope of their land.

Jesse Bennett Studio designed the 9m-long rectangular pool and spa combination in conjunction with the strikingly modern new home, and the result is nothing short of spectacular. Fully tiled in dark-grey ceramic mosaics from The Pool Tile Co, the pool and spa incorporate an infinity/spillway edge and are surrounded by sleek honed concrete slab coping and lush green lawn.

Naturally, the pool and spa are fully automated to make maintenance as effortless as possible, with a Paramount PCC2000 in-floor cleaning system for the pool, spa and trough, pool and spa heating and a Remco automatic pool cover. In addition, the use of the Naked Pools Freshwater System safely and effortlessly purifies pool water without adding chlorine, high salt or expensive minerals.

Peter Rogers started Rogers Pools in 1993, and his daughter Ricki-Lee and son Dean both joined their father in the family business. “We mainly concentrate on the construction of new pools in the Brisbane area and surrounds (Toowoomba/Sunshine Coast/Gold Coast),” says Peter. “We specialise in sloping blocks and difficult-access areas. We would, on average, hand-dig six or seven pools per year and have built pools in excess of 5m out of ground on the more sloping sites. The trickier the better,” adds Ricki-Lee Rogers.

Ricki-Lee meets with potential new clients to discuss design options and what they want to achieve. The pool construction is managed by Dean Rogers, who is very hands-on in managing the site. Rogers Pools is a member of Master Builders Qld.
