Victorian Finalist HIA Green Smart Awards

Victorian building company DTC Family Builders, has been nominated as a finalist in the HIA GreenSmart Awards for its groundbreaking InsulLiving home in Wallan.

The innovative home combines Bondor’s InsulWall® and SolarSpan® roofing products to create a thermal envelope that keeps the interior cooler in summer and warmer in winter.

Marcel Mott says the nomination is a ‘Significant achievement’ for his Whittlesea building company.

“We’re extremely pleased to be recognised by the HIA for this build which we believe is the way forward for the building industry.”

Australian residents living in InsulLiving®  homes, like the DTC Family Builder’s display home, enjoy reduced energy bills with spectacular energy savings of up to 40%.

The superior insulation performance enables the stylish home to far surpass Australia’s six-star thermal efficiency requirement with an 8.2 energy rating.

Bondor General manager Geoff Marsdon has congratulated DTC Family Builders for their use of efficient and space saving materials.

“DTC Family Builders has demonstrated that a home can be both modern, comfortable and stylish while helping residents lessen their energy bills, getting Australians closer to Bondor’s goal of zero energy housing.”

The winner of the HIA GreenSmart awards ‘Display Home’ category will be announced September 2.
