In this European design-inspired kitchen an extensive island bench that doubles as a dining table
“We absolutely nailed the clients’ brief, providing them with a modern and clean kitchen that can be enjoyed by family and friends. The clients wanted a functional room that would look great from every angle, and would be accommodating for both casual dining and formal entertaining.
The kitchen is connected seamlessly to the European-inspired courtyard, bringing the outside in and creating a natural feel. The entire kitchen was converted through leveling the ceiling and removing windows and doors, completely opening the space and creating room for the new laundry and cooking areas.
The Silestone benchtops and splashback work with the timber-grain laminate to soften the space, as does the new aerated concrete floorboards. The woodgrain and two-pack satin finish complement each other perfectly, placing a modern kitchen comfortably in a more traditional-style building. The kitchen suits the house beautifully, and looking in from the external courtyard it feels like the kitchen just belongs.”
