French elegance: chateau-style kitchen

This stunning kitchen space is accentuated with reclaimed timber accessories and vintage ceramic plates

“This distinct French chateau-style kitchen oozes elegance and sophistication. From the textured quartzite benchtops to the frosted-glass display cabinets, this Designer Kitchens creation is the epitome of sophistication.

Originally a project design with poor storage and basic finishes, this kitchen has been transformed into a unique, practical and classy room. The U-shaped layout cleverly maximises the limited space, with a hidden butler’s pantry ensuring any clutter is kept out of sight. It also provides an abundance of storage and a separate preparation area, all of which can be hidden at a moment’s notice by a set of folding doors.

While the quartzite benchtop makes a bold statement, the devil is truly in the details here. The ornate silver handles, decorative light fittings and dove grey tiled splashback might be subtle but together they give the space a sense of character. The expansive wrap-around window provides plenty of natural light, a feature that’s amplified a thousandfold by the all-white colour palette, not to mention the fact that it makes washing up that much less of a chore.”
