Au Naturale: light timber-finished boards

Gallery

Previously featuring a dark and heavy colour scheme, this kitchen was in need of a serious refresh – and a light timber-finished look was the perfect way to do it

The existing planked timber vinyl floor was relatively new, so the owners chose to keep this and contrast the darker tones against their new light-coloured decor. This resulted in a bright and renewed space. The COLOURpyne® Whitewood in Naturale finish provides a light natural timber look and feel. The timber-finished kitchen now looks much more modern and bright than it did and is also more functional, with improved work space and storage. The COLOURpyne® doors and panels are also very durable and easy to clean and maintain. The new design utilises the wall cavity between the kitchen and laundry to create a wide shallow-shelved pantry, a great use of space without having to dramatically change the structure of the room. Design elements like the red-painted glass splashback and engineered stone benchtops all work together to create this cohesive and harmonious space.
