The homeowners decided to split their spacious rumpus room in half to allow for a bathroom ensuite to complement their main bedroom

They wanted to steer away from an ultra-glamorous style, and instead chose to create an earthy and inviting bathroom that oozed calm from the moment you stepped inside.

Aged-brass tapware and honed terrazzo tiles in Snow blend seamlessly together to create a striking feature. The open space allows the terrazzo tiles to work effectively, covering the floor and wall. Due to the striking nature of the terrazzo, it was paramount that the rest of the bathroom was kept simple as the homeowners wanted their bathroom to feel grounded.

Matt white tiles from Geelong Tiles and Bathware were chosen to create contrast and introduce cool tones to the space. The Pegasi overhead shower and tapware in an aged brass light finish inject the perfect amount of texture against the raw-toned terrazzo. Due to the size of the room, there were no major structural changes. The final product is a refined room that meets the homeowners’ criteria and so much more.
