When dreaming of their ideal home, the owners fell in love with the classic, crisp Hampton look. So when it came to designing their ideal kitchen, they knew that Emma Spencer and the Garsden and Clarke Kitchens & Interiors design team were the perfect choice and would deliver a quality Hampton-style kitchen. Creating space was a high-priority request from the clients. Lots of drawers and a spacious butler’s pantry met this part of the brief, along with the large kitchen island. Both the benchtops and the island are fitted with Carrara marble. The island allows for more space to prepare meals and is also a place where guests and friends congregate.
The kitchen’s fittings and fixtures were specially chosen to ensure it would have timeless appeal and complement the satin twopack cabinets. A freestanding stove matches the tone and style of the kitchen. It’s the attention to detail that makes this kitchen Hampton-inspired. Items such as the colonial mouldings, the traditional handles on the cabinets and the timber flooring take you from this kitchen to a luxurious estate up in the Hamptons. A display and mantel area were requested by the homeowners, which are very fitting for photos or kitchen trinkets that may come in handy while entertaining. The neutral colours used reflect the elegant lifestyle of the Hamptons, as do the old charm and functionality.
