Modern living: kitchen design

This kitchen uses tones of the same colour for a modern and seamless design

This contemporary kitchen is exactly what the client wanted: smooth and modern. We had quite a large space to work with during the project — which encompassed a complete home fit-out, where we supplied cabinetry for different areas such as the living room, bathrooms and kitchen.

The stylish island bench with overhang and integrated bar fridge is the focal point, providing a space for meal preparation, cooking and entertaining with family and friends. The appliances were integrated to create more space and a good work flow throughout the kitchen.

The light and dark shades of brown we used for this kitchen complement the stunning white benchtops and elevate it from a standard kitchen. To keep the tones of brown running throughout the space, the splashback went from benchtop to ceiling and then the canopy was fitted over it, creating a unique design feature. A television was placed for easy viewing in the kitchen, and the orange cabinets offer a bright pop of colour.
