This kitchen is a perfect example of how you can have a space that is not only stylish, but ticks all those functional boxes too. Storage was a must for this kitchen, with the homeowners hosting many large family gatherings.
The Rosemount Kitchens team added as many drawers as possible in the space, with special consideration given to three kickdrawers under the island bench for those occasional-use items such as long platters. The butler’s pantry featured extensive open shelving, but two Vintec wine fridges and an oven were added — again, perfect for hosting. A spot for a microwave was provided off the bench to maximise counter space. The wall at the end of the island could not be removed, so it was turned into a feature. The smoked-glass finish gives the kitchen a greater sense of space and also adds light. This kitchen was given a personal touch with two open shelves placed over the sink, the perfect location for the owners to display trinkets from their overseas travels. This takes the room from a showroom to a place with heart — the real centre of the home.
