This is good news for first-home buyers who may have been missing out because of smaller budgets.
“We wanted to showcase ‘custom build’ features at an affordable ‘project home’ price,” says Mark Cairney, Sales and Marketing Manager at Bellmarch Homes. Through smart designing, the company optimised the use of space in a house that only spans 46m2. Four bedrooms, three bathrooms — not to mention the powder room — are spread over the two storeys. A suspended custom staircase joins the two levels, its glass-paned railing and 3m-high ceilings adding to the open style of the house.
Outside, a roofless verandah skirts around the house, maximising sunlight throughout the day. The outdoor kitchen is strategically built at the rear of the house, adjacent to the swimming pool, making it a favourite spot for the weekend family lunch.
Taking only nine months to build, the home proves that a quality, semi-customised project home can be built in a short time period without sacrificing quality. For added value, Bellmarch Homes also allocated professionals to particular design aspects. “We brought in an interior designer to select materials and colours which would appeal to a wide range of prospective clients,” says Mark.
The minimalist colour palette in the home was selected to create a “less is more” aesthetic, with the neutral colours creating a sense of continuity throughout the household, bringing about a neat and polished finish. The darker, more solid brown and grey colours add depth.
A white-coloured, grey-veined marble benchtop offers an impeccable, functional space in the kitchen. Its open-plan layout connects seamlessly with the dining and lounge areas, making the area an ideal setting for entertaining guests.
