Set within a sprawling rural retreat close to bushland, this stunning outdoor project from Prestige Landscape & Construction is a resort-style masterpiece. The homeowners’ vision was an oasis that would allow them to escape the hustle and bustle of their busy lives and enjoy some quality family time together. Led by Troy Stolzenhein, Prestige Landscape & Construction brought this vision to life with ease.
At the very heart of this meticulously executed, endlessly elegant outdoor living and entertaining space is a 10m x 4.2m rectangular pool that encompasses an often-used beach area — this shallow splash zone offers a safe space for the kids to play or cool-off. On the other side of the pool is a luxurious spa for the adults.
To complement the pool, designed by Masterbuilt Pools and built by Bombora Pools Narellan, the Prestige team installed sandblasted marble coping and generous surrounds of matching tiles laid in a French pattern for a cohesive, sophisticated look.
On the spa side of the pool, the outer boundary of the paved area has been given a wave-like outline that creates an organic feel while offering a curved step-off from tiles to artificial turf. Both the tiles and turf were laid with absolute precision by Troy’s team, creating a unique transition and enhancing the overall sense of flow. One of the curves even proved the ideal spot for an outdoor dining setting that complements the poolside sunlounges.
“This project was not only about the aesthetics,” explains Troy. “It was also about creating a living space that connects with the natural environment. With its tropical plants and seamless integration with the surrounding bushland, the design embraces the concept of sustainable luxury.”
Low-maintenance, drought-tolerant plants, supplied by Downes Nursery, were prioritised, contributing to the sustainability of the outdoor project. The carefully curated collection of potted plants adds textural interest, subtle but welcome colour, and a sense of being embraced by nature. It also provides a pleasing outlook from inside the home, which was built by Clear Skies Ahead.
“We specialise in large-scale pool and landscaping projects, ensuring that every detail is taken care of,” says Troy. “From design to construction, we pride ourselves on delivering high-end luxury outdoor spaces — and this particular project was no exception. Everything, from the design phase through to completion, ran smoothly, and the family was swimming and enjoying a luxurious, laidback outdoor lifestyle just weeks after the installation.”
