For this generous-sized property on the outskirts of Melbourne, Swimmore Pools has created a pool and spa in which the owners can relax at the end of the day and enjoy with their family, providing them with a space for many happy memories.
“As owners of a flat, semi-rural block, the clients requested a pool that they could integrate with their home, with a seamless transition from their living area to the pool area,” explains designer Amanda Hebdige of Swimmore Pools, who was entrusted with the clients’ vision for their property.
Initially, their brief was to extend the deck area to the pool, all at the one level. “However, in this case, town planning did not allow this and we were restricted on the finished level,” says Amanda. “We overcame this hurdle and have still provided an outstanding pool and spa with a seamless transition for our clients.”
The 10m-long modern rectangular pool and spa are even enhanced by an extra special and truly unique feature — a horse mural located on the entry steps, that pays homage to the clients’ love of horses.
This project, expertly built by Adam Moore of Swimmore Pools, perfectly aligns with Swimmore Pools’ design philosophy. “A pool should be coherent with the home, so that at times of the year when you may not be using the pool it still provides an atmosphere of relaxation,” says Amanda. “With every pool we build, we feel it should be functional to the needs of its owners and offer a value-add to the property.”
Surrounded by polished concrete and lined with 23mm Lagoon ceramic mosaics, this pool and spa exudes a sense of luxury with a neat and contemporary twist. Equipped with all the heating one could need for year-round comfort, every season been catered for — regardless of the unpredictable Victorian weather. This includes a Technosolis rigid panel solar heating system, 58kw electric heat pump and a Waterco 24kw electric spa heater.
Automation is provided via a Viron Connect 10 system that allows the user to automate and control their entire swimming pool environment from a smartphone, tablet or computer. Meanwhile, the Paramount Ultra Clear system kills 99.9 per cent of micro-organisms for a clean, family-friendly and eco-friendly pool, using up to 80 per cent less harmful chemicals.
