Alfresco entertaining: Neutral-toned beauty

The reflective granite benchtop in this kitchen compliments the minimal lighting and brightens the room completely

“The clients wanted a kitchen that was luxurious and inviting, but still suitable for practical use and entertaining. The kitchen was moved to the rear wall to fit the patio doors, which provide access to the gorgeous alfresco area. This allows people to mingle between the kitchen and outside, and a large island bench further opens up the room.

The beautiful granite benchtop is dramatic and stunning, and is the visual focal point of the space. The mirrored splashback was used to bring the outside in and enable the cook to interact with family and friends.

A small bar was created at the end of the kitchen to integrate the kitchen with the alfresco area and provide access to drinks, while the innovative roll-up appliance cabinet was designed to accommodate the microwave and other small appliances. LED lighting and hanging pendant lights reflect off the mirrored splashback for effective task lighting, providing the finishing touch.”
