“With light, balance and breathtaking lines, this kitchen embodies the very essence of a modern streamlined space. The kitchen flaunts a chic linear design that is enhanced by long handleless cabinets, a simple colour palette and sleek stainless-steel appliances. An exciting and powerful statement is created using cabinetry in dark chocolate and white, with a high-gloss finish that is clean, pure and perfectly contemporary. Designed for a family with young children, the kitchen needed to incorporate practical design features and clever storage. While on the outside the drawers are sleek and sophisticated, on the inside they’re packed with clever hardware from Hettich and Blum. Hettich soft-close technology was a must-have for storing crockery and other breakable items in the drawers and Blum Aventos lift-up hardware provides practical storage. Inner drawers are hidden in the cupboards at the back of island bench for the desired wine storage. Dishwasher and microwave appliances are also hidden from view, maintaining the streamlined look as well as keeping them away from two little children. A bold chunky island bench was custom-built with 60mm slab ends and benchtop, plus a 20mm benchtop to the inner side surface to allow for the integrated dishwasher. On the splashback, charming patterned tiles are a breath of fresh air. LED race lights underneath the overheads keep the space perfectly lit. This elegant kitchen is more than a design statement; it is a timeless and practical for a growing family.”
