There is truly nothing like entertaining in the great outdoors. For these homeowners, building the ultimate space to unwind and socialise was also the perfect way to take advantage of the stunning cliffside views in Mt Eliza, on the Mornington Peninsula.
As severe winter winds whip waves off the wet edge pool, the entire space can receive a soaking – meaning that building a poolside kitchen which can also withstand the elements was a priority. LimeTree Alfresco’s PVC weatherboard cabinetry with marine-grade fixings was the ideal solution; weather-protective while also guaranteeing a stylish finish that adds to the resort atmosphere of the space. The outdoor kitchen truly evolves into its own self-sufficient space with two floating U-shaped islands, a stunning Smeg Marine-grade Stainless In-bench Barbecue with stainless cookware and burners, as well as two 3-door alfresco beverage centres, a Franke sink & mixer tap and a Fisher & Paykel dishwasher.
To tie the whole space together and create that resort look, six metres of poolside cabinetry surrounds with room to store the outdoor lounge cushions. Anodised aluminium frames with Perspex-brand inserts in shadow grey blend nicely with the client’s 40mm granite benchtops that match the wet edge surrounding the pool.
