A countryside backdrop complements this expansive pool for a welcoming openness like no other
This pool and spa design by Robert Boden of Robert Boden Design, exudes rural charm at its finest. Set amongst the gum trees, bluestone homestead and paddocks, the 20m lap pool was cleverly designed to complement the breathtaking surrounds, purposely blending within the landscape to maximise the openness of the space. The pool was also designed proportionate to the property, with minimal surrounding pavement and expansive lawns, creating a simple yet elegant statement piece within the yard.
The owners wanted a low-maintenance pool that would fulfil the needs of a young family and that they could also use for fitness. iPad and iPhone controls enable the pool and spa to be heated from any location and while the remoteness of the property allows for a spectacular country view, its distance from the closest township meant that careful and considerable planning was required to make the project come together. Despite this, Aquarius
Pools certainly delivered on what the company considers to be the principles of good design: to provide a lifetime of enjoyment for the homeowners.
Large water tanks and a sunbather thermal cover add an environmentally conscious element to the pool design, coinciding with the preservation of the heroic Australian environment in which this pool is set. Aquarius Pools is dedicated to producing pools that will provide a lifetime of satisfaction for every customer. The company builds approximately 30 high-quality architectural concrete swimming pools each year within Victoria’s eastern and bayside suburbs and on the Mornington Peninsula.
The company is a member of SPASA Victoria and has been recognised for its innovative designs and quality workmanship with many awards over the years. Most notably, in 2016, Aquarius Pools won the most prestigious awards: gold for Pool of the Year in both the SPASA Australia and SPASA Victoria awards.
