Built to Complement a New Home this Pool is as Stylish as it is Functional

When a young professional couple with small children decided to build a new house, they knew from the outset that they wanted a pool and outdoor living area — something that would complement the design of the home and complete the property.

“They wanted a pool area that children and adults could enjoy year-round, and they wanted a pool with heating and a spa,” says Zeb Rodrigues, owner of Artesian Pools.

The generously-sized flat block, located in Sandringham, a bayside suburb in Sydney’s south, features an exquisite geometric design — a rectangular 8.7m-long pool with a Spanish glass mosaic-tiled spa in one corner. Water from the spa spills over two walls into the pool.
“This pool has a large area for the children, a spa for the parents to relax in and it looks amazing,” says Zeb. “However, it was difficult to construct as the level of the pool is below the water table and is located near the bay. The design, with the steps and spa within the pool at one end, really makes it stand out from the rest.”

Designing a pool that is both functional and a feature of the property is very important to the Artesian Pools’ team. Creating something that complements the home, makes the best use of the available space and adds value is integral to the company when carrying out any design.
Artesian Pools was founded by Eusebio (Zeb) Rodrigues in 1994. The company works on 25 to 30 pools a year all over Sydney and country NSW, with a focus on quality, not quantity. The team specialises in the design and construction of concrete swimming pools and the renovation of existing concrete pools. Their commitment to customers is to deliver a beautiful swimming pool using only the best materials and high-quality workmanship.

When you deal with Artesian Pools, you deal directly with the builder, from the quotation through to the construction process and hand-over. “We spend a lot of time with the client ensuring the pool will suit their requirements and become a feature of their home,” says Zeb.
Artesian Pools is a member of the Master Builders Association (MBA) and has won many awards in recent years. In 2019, it won the MBA Excellence in Swimming Pool Awards’ Pool Renovations Open Price category, was the joint-winner of the MBA Excellence in Swimming Pool Awards’ Traditional or Geometric Concrete Pools $50,001–$100,000 category and the winner of the MBA Excellence in Swimming Pool Awards’ Traditional or Geometric Concrete Pools $100,000 and Over category.
