This stunning pool, a collaboration between Baden Pools and designer Luke Middleton from EME Design Group, is the perfect outdoor finish to this large and luxurious home.

With an air of glamour and elegance reminiscent of 1930s Hollywood, the circular forms of this pool work beautifully against the stark, austere profile of the home. The fully-tiled pool’s chic and eye-catching art-deco feel is enhanced by the striking colour palette of blue 90mm x 90mm tiles and pink glass mosaics, all imported. This luxurious pool, 16 metres long and 2.2 metres wide and eight metres in diameter features a swim-up bar with views to a large theatre screen, creating an in-pool cinema! There’s also a beautiful marble water feature. The large sunken steps offer ample seating and multi-layered entertaining areas and add to the feeling of the space as an outdoor living room. Baden Pools is renowned for this type of spectacular outdoor space. Its designs are consistently innovative and always feature that elusive eye-catching appeal, and this magnificent pool is no exception. A fitting addition to the impressive Baden Pools portfolio.

Baden Pools builds concrete pools including many lap pools, mainly on the Mornington Peninsula but also in and around Melbourne. Baden Pools designs pools as well as builds them and the company can also work with architects and landscape architects to build pools from their plans. If required, Baden Pools can also design and build landscaping. “To aesthetically blend the pool with the landscape, you need to consider the character of the whole area,” says Bruce Badenhop of Baden Pools. “That might involve taking a cue from the line of the roof or the angles of the home.

“We also try to pick up on the client’s view of how they envisage the finished result, but sometimes it helps to design from the perspective of an outsider, because we may see something they don’t. Sometimes we surprise them with totally different concepts from what they were originally thinking,” he says. “If we’re working from a landscape architect’s design, then we always look for the practical operation layout, and liaise when necessary with the designer and the client to sort out any adjustments that are needed before we start construction.” Baden Pools is a family business that aims to provide a comfortable feeling of dependability for clients.
