It’s cool, calm and coastal in this international-inspired kitchen

While many international travel plans were scarpered in 2020, the owners of this kitchen are still enjoying an overseas affair.

This room by Premier Kitchens Australia is like a journey to the Hamptons followed by a French provincial escape, which ties in perfectly with the antique style employed in the rest of the home

The joinery plays a major part in creating the kitchen’s theme. Shaker profiles set the tone, with the island and rangehood mantle complete with corbels to further cement the style and give the kitchen a homely, lived-in feel.

The colour palette is another nod to this coastal style, with the muted blue a tribute to the Hamptons and the white providing balance and celebrating that French provincial look.

Integrated appliances let the cabinetry work truly shine and help make the room feel more like part of the home than a designated place to cook.

But it’s the little things that make this kitchen truly exceptional. The storage is second to none, with Blum hardware allowing for easy access. The pantries have 36mm shaped shelves, making them stronger and more durable than their thinner counterparts.

The handles are another subtle feature. They add warmth and a touch of elegance, with the pendants illuminating that luxurious island a nod to the sand itself.
