A modern pool and spa combination blurs the boundaries between freeform and formal.
When planning their outdoor space, these clients wanted an attractive-looking pool, different in style to what one would describe as freeform but also formal looking. As well as that, they needed space in their backyard for their dogs so a medium-sized pool was the best option as it would still give the dogs room to play.
The freeform design created by Quality Dolphin Pools blends well with the property’s modern two-storey house, thanks to stand-out elements such as a wet deck with polished formed concrete, polished granite on top of the circular spa, and mosaic-tiled water feature lip and an 11-metre water blade.
The alfresco space flows into the pool area to create an inviting space for the owners to entertain in style. The pool and spa really come to life at night, thanks to the selection of lighting, and the wonderful view out to the pool from the house, courtesy of frameless glass fencing.
Quality Dolphin Pools was established in 1971 by John and Shaun Conley and Adrian Elphick. They work on approximately 150 pools each year, designing pools to suit clients. The multi-award-winning company has more than 50 awards under its belt for formal pools, freeform pools, lap pools and water features. They build concrete pools, spas and water features throughout the Perth metropolitan area.
Providing a quality product, built beyond clients’ expectations, is the main aim of the company, which also prides itself on helpful and friendly staff.
“We go out and look at the site, see what surroundings there are, have a meeting with the client and draw up a concept to suit their needs,” they said.
Quality Dolphin Pools is a member of SPASA WA, the Housing Industry Association (HIA) and the Master Builders Association (MBA).
